AI Apnea Trainer respects your privacy. We clearly state how we handle your data below.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

All training logs, session data, and personal records created within the app are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData technology. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is not accessible to the developer.

2. HealthKit and Apple Watch

The Apple Watch companion app integrates with Apple HealthKit to read heart rate data and write completed sessions as Workout records in the Health app. This data is used solely to provide real-time feedback during sessions and to display heart rate charts in the logbook. Health data is never sent to our servers or to any third-party service.

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, which features are used most and where users encounter issues. This helps us prioritise improvements.

Firebase Analytics may collect:

• App usage events and screen views
• Device type, OS version, and app version
• Approximate region (country level)

Firebase Analytics does not have access to your training data, health data, or any personally identifiable information stored in the app. Data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy.

AI Comment Generation (Google Firebase / Google Gemini)

When you use AI Coach comment generation, the app sends only the minimum required dive context to our backend (Firebase Cloud Functions), which calls Google Gemini to generate the response.

Data that may be sent for AI generation:

• Dive summary values (e.g. depth, duration, heart rate summary, water/weather summary)
• Dive profile sample points (depth / vertical speed over time)
• Selected discipline, feeling, and language
• A generated client identifier and dive identifier for rate limiting

For abuse prevention and cost control, rate-limit records are stored in Cloud Firestore and automatically deleted using TTL (short-term retention).

App Check tokens are verified to help block unauthorized requests from non-genuine app clients.

Support Form (Google LLC)

When you submit a support inquiry via our Google Form, your submission is processed and stored by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy.
